Much of my work has a distinctly Celtic feel. While my designs are often influenced by my Welsh roots and the beautiful Monmouthshire countryside, my inspiration can just as easily come from simple shapes and textures, and of course YOU, the individual for whom I’m making.
A bit about me! In my former life I was a food writer enjoying a wonderful and varied career. When it came time for me to move on I needed to redirect my creativity and began attending silver jewellery workshops at The Court Cupboard Craft Gallery Abergavenny. I haven’t looked back since! I was honoured to become a member of the Black Mountains Circle of artists and makers and continue to exhibit at their beautiful gallery today. Commission work takes up much of my time and interest too. I’m also a member of the Association for Contemporary Jewellery and Made in Monmouthshire.
As you will see, my range of jewellery is eclectic…and that’s the way I like it! I work mainly with sterling and fine silver and my hallmark is applied at the Birmingham Assay Office.
You are invited to browse through this small collection of pictures for ideas (hint – there are SO many more to see on my Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/annetteyatesjewellery. If you like what you see, I would be delighted to consider making something especially for you. Please be assured, there is never any obligation to buy, even after I have made a piece…I’m confident that if you don’t love it, someone else will!
